Hi, fellas.. I've just been coming back to Jogja after having very nice 'meditation' for two weeks somewhere in north coastal area of Java called Mangkang, Semarang, Central Java. I stayed there for two weeks without TV or internet (this happened because I don't have enough device to reach the signal :( ). I joined myself in such a community service program related to environmental issues. A lot of experiences I gained during the camp such as having tambak (fishpond) and boat trip, planting mangrove seeds, harvesting mangrove fruits, school visits, and garbage project. Those things are totally brand new for me, thus I got extremely excited :). Having sightseeing in a black sand beach is also quite amazing (the sand is truly black).
I lived in a house called Volunteer House along with other 11 people from different countries. And I'll tell you them later, one by one complete with their own uniqueness :). Besides having environmental activities, I got a great deal of cultural experiences in terms of my living group. See! I only paid Rp.400.000 for two weeks and I could enjoy any kinda foods from several different countries. Then, meeting great fellas is also one of treasures I found there.
What a fantabulous adventure!
